Growth type crustose.

Small smooth or warted thallus, whitish or pale grey, often with white prothallus. Apothecia with pinkish to pale muddy-brownish discs, usually densely white-pruinose. Conspicuous entire margins becoming +/- crenulate or excluded. Spores simple, broadly ellipsoid, (9-)10-12(-15) x (5-)6-8(-9) µm. Micro photo below.

Small and easily overlooked but frequent on twigs and bark of smooth-barked, slightly nutrient-rich deciduous trees. Thallus K+ yellow, C-. Apothecia C-, P+ yellow or red, UV+ pale orange

Very similar: Lecanora carpinea. Apothecia C+ yellow
