Photos: On deciduous tree trunk. Macroom, Cork, SW Ireland.

The whitish-grey thallus is smooth, slightly warted or granulose with scattered or aggregated pale pinkish-brown, slightly pruinose apothecia. There are large crystals in the thaline margin and coarse brown granules extend below epithcium into upper part of hymenium below tops of the asci. Probably widespread on deciduous trees but previously overlooked and recorded as Lecanora chlarotera
