Family: Graphidaceae
Species: Graphis persoonii Photos: Killarney NP, Co. Kerry, SW Ireland. Lirellae are straight, curved or branched with the ends usually rounded and thalline margin absent or only present at the base of lirellae. The dark brown discs are +/- wide open and not pruinose. Asci are 4-8 spored, the spores 7-13 septate, 15-42 x 5-12 µm, lumina irregular, elliptical to lentiform. One of the two less common species recently separated from Graphis scripta s. lat. Distribution not yet known, but possibly more restricted to oceanic woodlands |
