Strongly convex black thyriothecia on the host thallus, of radially arranged quadrangular cells 4-6.5 µm diam. The central ostiole is surrounded by convergent setae forming an elongated cone, the setae dark brown, 23-35 x 4-7 µm. Asci are 8-spored, the spores faintly 1-septate, (14.5-)16-17(-18) x 5-5.5 µm, upper cell with three pairs of lateral flexuous hair-like setae. Micrographs below.
