Species: Porina hibernica Photos: Glengarriff woods, Co. Cork, SW Ireland. Identified by Andy Acton Immersed or granular thallus with orange, orange-green or (in shade) brownish-green, richly branched isidia. Clustered groups of irregular black perithecia, to 0.7mm diam. Spores 12-16 septate. Rare, mainly SW Ireland on the bark of old Oaks in undisturbed woodlands. Chemical reactions negative. Similar: Porina coralloidea, thallus blackish-grey |
