Species: Menegazzia terebrata

Growth type foliose.
Photos: On Oak and wooden rails. Glengarrif woods, Cork, Ireland.

Hollow grey or greenish thallus with radiating lobes perforated with many small holes. Margins with globose soredia. Apothecia are infrequent, discs chestnut coloured.
Cortex K+ yellow. Medulla K+ yellow, P+ yellow-orange

An 'Old forest' indicator species occurring on shaded trees and damp mossy woodland rocks in the west of Ireland.

Similar: Menegazzia subsimilis. Ascending lip-shaped soralia.
