Trentepohlia species Trentepohlia are a genus of green, filamentous algae, their orange colour caused by the presence of large quantities of carotenoids. They form associations with fungal hyphae and are a widespread photobiont in lichens. Also occur independently on damp rocks, mortar and trees. |
