Species: Candelariella coralliza Photos: Wall below pigeon nest. Courtmacsherry, Cork, SW Ireland. Deep-cracked thick yellow thallus, areolate with rounded, evenly shaped granules. Apothecia are occasional, dirty yellowish with simple spores. Chemical reactions: K- (Caloplaca species are K+ red) Infrequent on well-lit acidic rocks used as bird-perching sites.
