Species: Lecanora fugiens Photos: On coastal rocks. Co. Cork, SW Ireland. Identification needs confirming Thallus light yellowish to yellow-brown, granular, areolate or sometimes evanescent. Yellowish-brown apothecia, often pruinose, with contorted persistent margins that can become crenulate. Thallus: K+ pale yellow, C+ orange, UV+ orange. Apothecia: P+ orange-red Occurs on well-lit acidic maritime rocks in the 'grey zone'. Part of the Lecanora dispersa group |
