Species: Porina multipuncta (Opegrapha multipuncta) Photos: On Sycamore twig. Knocknagree, Co. Cork, SW Ireland. Identified by John Douglass Thin smooth or scurfy brownish thallus with numerous patches of fleck-like or concave soralia that are initially orange but fade to yellowish-grey. Apothecia and pycnidia are absent. Chemical reactions negative. Can be locally frequent on small branches of deciduous trees in damp, boggy sites. Also recorded from shaded rocks in NW Britain. Similar: In O. sorediifera and O. gyrocarpa soralia are C+ red |
