Diffuse pale yellowish-green or bluish-grey (deep shade) firm, finely granular thallus. Prothallus absent.

On acidic rocks in shaded crevices and below underhangs. Also occurs below boulders and on drystone walls.
K-, C-, KC+ pale yellow, P-, UV-

Similar: Andreiomyces obtusaticus is found in crevices in dry bark on older trees
