Species: Arthrorhaphis citrinella Photos: On upland rock. Gougane Barra, Co. Cork, SW Ireland. Specimen identified by John Douglass Thallus forms small, scattered clumps of green to yellowish, fragile granules which soon become sorediate. Apothecia are rare, dark green or black, and pycnidia are unknown. UV+ orange Found on mosses and soil in crevices on +/- vertical rock faces of siliceous upland rocks. Scattered distribution throughout Ireland. |
