Thallus forms small, scattered clumps of green to yellowish, fragile granules which soon become sorediate. Apothecia are rare, dark green or black, and pycnidia are unknown.
UV+ orange

Found on mosses and soil in crevices on +/- vertical rock faces of siliceous upland rocks. Scattered distribution throughout Ireland.
