Species: Lecanora soralifera Photos: On acidic upland rock. Ballingeary, Cork, SW Ireland. Greyish or yellow-green thallus, areolate or subsquamulose and dispersed. Green to yellowish soralia produced from centre of squamules, can spread over much of thallus. When present small apothecia are convex, brown-greenish with excluded margins. Occurs on siliceous walls and rocks, rare on wood and timber. Widespread in Ireland but most frequently recorded from the SE. K-, C-, KC+ yellow, P-, UV+ dull orange |
