BLS Burren meeting 2009 Radiating orangey-yellow thallus, lobes with distinctly flattened tips. Area behind lobe tips often paler, thallus centre darker. Numerous large orange-brown apothecia with lighter margins. Asci 8-spored, the spores 10-13 x 8-10 µm. Thallus and apothecia: K+ crimson / purple. Occurs on sunny, nutrient-rich calcareous rocks and tombstones. Similar: Caloplaca flavescens
