Species: Anaptychia runcinata Photos: On coastal rocks. Toormore, Cork, SW Ireland. The narrow radiating lobes are greenish-brown when wet but become dark reddish-brown when dry. Under-surface with scattered rhizines. Dark apothecia with crenulated paler margins are frequent. Asci 8-spored, the spores brown, 1-septate, 30-36 x 15-18 µm. Common on coastal rocks to sea-level and sometimes also found inland in western areas on rocks, walls and occasionally trees. K-, C+ pale yellow |
