Kingdom: Phyllum: Class: Trentepohlia Algae Trentepohlia are a genus of green, filamentous algae, their orange colour caused by the presence of large quantities of carotenoids. Forming associations with fungal hyphae they are a widespread photobiont in lichens and also capable of occurring independently on damp rocks, mortar and trees. |
